MY ROOTS
Hello! My name is Leslie Mendoza. I am the founder & CEO of Roots Hats and I am so beyond happy you're here! Please follow along to learn more about the Journey that got me to where I am today.
I've always been a strong advocate for pursuing the things that bring you joy & light a fire in your heart. But, I have to give that credit to my parents for paving the way to make that a possibility. My parents were born in the U.S. but, raised in Tamazula Jalisco. They migrated back to the U.S. around the age of 18 to start a family but, with little to nothing getting started. Initially when arriving they lived in a garage. They spoke zero english and still managed to find a way to be financially stable for my 4 siblings and I. Unfortunately, they never knew the luxury of following your dreams. They have worked to survive & provide. So RootsHats is in honor of them. RootsHats not only encompasses my gratitude, but the desire to stay connected to my hispanic roots that make me uniquely ME. Just like Fashion is a form of self-expression, so is embracing who you are and where you came from. I hope that RootsHats can be that reminder for you.
